CHARACTERISTICS: Carolina Grasshoppers can be found throughout the entire United States. They eat plants and grass and are good flyers dispite thier erractic-looking flight paths. As with most insect species, the female Carolina Grasshopper is larger than the male. Coloring is generally on the dark side with the occassional yellow.
